Job summary

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography General program within the School of Medical Imaging and Therapeutics (SMIT). The candidate will teach classroom, lab, online and clinical courses and contribute to curriculum development, assessment and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification in OB/GYN and extended abdominal required; others preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in radiology general sonography and OB/GYN.
• Experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques.
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and assessment of clinical education components.
• Prepare clinical course materials and daily lesson plans.
• Supervise students in clinical applications and review performance for competencies.
• Coordinate clinical site logistics with the Program Director and ensure site effectiveness.
• Support accreditation activities and participate in service on committees.
