Job summary

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) seeks a 9-month, full-time faculty member to deliver high-quality learning experiences for the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – General program.

The faculty role includes teaching classroom, lab, online, and clinical courses to undergraduate students, with responsibilities across syllabus development, student mentorship, and program accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification in OB/GYN and extended abdominal required.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in radiology general sonography and OB/GYN.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience at the college/university level preferred but not essential.
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and interact with a wide array of parties at all levels.
• Evidence of teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, laboratory and/or experiential instruction via multiple formats (in-person, online, or blended) in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography General Program.
• Provide syllabus with course objectives, outcomes, teaching methods, and evaluation criteria.
• Advise and assist students through office hours, by phone or email.
• Participate in service activities and attend School and institutional events.
• Use the university LMS to post materials and communicate with students.
• Maintain program curriculum and contribute to accreditation efforts.
