Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support our primary care providers with documentation, coding, and after-visit summaries. This full-time role offers exposure to value-based care and chronic disease management in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Ideal candidates will commit to at least 1–2 years, possess strong listening and communication skills, and be comfortable with medical terminology. In-person work at our clinics with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in structured notes with HPI, assessment, plan, and exam.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support Daily Huddles and Clinical Documentation Reviews.
• Administrative support for providers and care team.
• Other duties as assigned.
