Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing or International Medical Graduate.
• Experience: Minimum of five years in an acute care setting; critical care, medical/surgical or Emergency Department nursing preferred.
• License/Certification: Current RN license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinically based concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records to evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Assist in facilitating accurate physician documentation reflecting severity of illness and mortality risk.
• Coordinate with external payers/regulatory requests to support reporting quality and compliant reimbursement for acute care services.
