Qualifications

• 3–5 years of coding experience in acute care settings.
• 4+ years of acute care nursing experience.
• Education or licensure in nursing or medicine (ASN/BSN/MD; RN/ARNP/NP/PA).
• CDIP or CCDS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve clinical documentation quality through collaboration with physicians and staff.
• Conduct initial and concurrent reviews of admissions to ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure documentation supports appropriate DRG assignments and reflects patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient status and track progress using approved tools.
• Serve as a resource on inpatient DRG assignment and documentation issues.

In this role, you will help ensure medical records accurately reflect patient conditions and support appropriate inpatient DRG assignments.
