Responsibilities

• Facilitate improvement in the overall quality, completeness and compliance of clinical documentation to support DRG assignments.
• Conduct initial and concurrent reviews of admissions to ensure documentation supports patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient status and guide physicians and coding staff on inpatient DRG appropriateness.
