Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to strengthen our CDI program. The role requires clinical experience in acute care, with RN, NP, PA-C, or IMG credentials and 3–5 years of practice. You will partner with physicians and coding to improve documentation quality and reimbursement integrity.

Qualifications

• RN, PN, or IMG with clinical experience in acute care.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle processes and healthcare finance.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and diagnoses for accuracy within 48 hours of admission.
• Identify opportunities to clarify documentation using ICD-10-CM guidelines.
• Formulate compliant queries and support query resolution.
• Collaborate with coding on retrospective reviews and queries.
• Educate providers on documentation to support coding accuracy.
