Job summary

e4health in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Consultant to ensure accurate and complete patient documentation that reflects illness severity and complexity. You will collaborate with providers and coders to educate and align chart data with clinical reality.

You will review records, initiate queries as needed, follow ACDIS/AAPC/AHIMA guidelines, protect patient confidentiality, and engage with clients to tailor solutions that improve outcomes and reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical documentation experience
• Current RN license or graduate of medical school with 5+ years of acute care experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate medical records
• Proficient with PC for medical record review and Microsoft Office
• Effective communication with management and clients

Responsibilities

• Review medical records for complete and accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures
• Initiate and complete queries as necessary to reflect accurate data
• Adhere to guidelines from ACDIS, AAPC, and AHIMA
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA
• Understand DRG payer issues, audit risks, and quality metrics
• Collaborate with client, team, and management to meet assignment needs
• Utilize client-specific software as required
