Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Clinical Documentation Educator to support educational activities that improve the quality, completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation for Cooper University Physicians. You will train physicians and clinicians, prepare PowerPoint materials, and participate in audits of professional documentation.

The role requires physician coding experience with E/M emphasis, strong presentation skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Physician coding and compliance experience with emphasis on Evaluation and Management.
• Training and presentation experience with physicians and other clinicians.
• Accomplished in preparing PowerPoint presentations and training materials.
• Experience auditing and coding professional clinical documentation (handwritten and electronic records).
• Bachelors preferred; associated nursing or relevant degree considered.
• CPC and/or CCS-P; nursing or compliance certifications a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; travel to CUH satellite locations as needed.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support educational activities to improve quality, completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation for CUP.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to deliver trainings and audits.
• Develop and deliver PowerPoint materials and supplemental training resources.
• Assist in auditing and coding reviews of professional clinical documentation.
