Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking an experienced Clinical Documentation and Coding Educator to educate and support physicians and coders in accurate and compliant documentation and coding practices. You will interpret medical records and provide targeted feedback to promote high quality coding and appropriate reimbursement.

In this role you will develop educational tools, lead group and individual training, and monitor coding guidelines across CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM to ensure

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of Medicare regulations on charging and billing (UB92 and 1500/HCFA).
• Ability to read/analyze itemized billing statements, medical records, & lab reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to learn and work with "Charge Capture" software.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary contact for physicians and APPs on coding and documentation for patient care services.
• Develops tools to assist providers with documentation and accurate coding.
• Performs chart reviews and provides feedback to individual providers and coders.
• Prepares educational material and training materials based on audit results.
