Job summary

Recovery Centers of America in Maryland seeks a Clinical Director to oversee the facility's Clinical Department, supervise staff, and guide clinical programs from planning to evaluation. Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or related field required.
• Must have independent licensure as counselor (e.g., LPC, LMHC), clinical social worker (e.g., LCSW, LICSW), couples and family therapist (e.g., LMFT), psychologist, or equivalent; treatment of both SUD and mental illness within license scope.
• Maryland — must have or be able to obtain Approved Supervisor status in addition to above requirement.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Clinical Supervisors, Clinical Coordinators, Managers, Primary Therapists, Case Managers, and Group Facilitators including hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching, and disciplinary action.
• Oversees assessment, active treatment via individual and group psychotherapy, discharge planning, and milieu management.
• Ensures adequate clinical staff while adhering to regulatory requirements and budgets.
• Drives Clinical Quality KPIs, aftercare planning, census management, and ensures active treatment seven days a week with proper documentation and compliance.
• Provides crisis management and clinical supervision focused on trauma-informed and family-oriented care.
• Leads clinical meetings, provides clinical consultation, and models sound clinical decision-making alongside Medical Director and Director of Nursing.
• Represents the facility in the community with professionalism and builds partnerships with referral sources and aftercare providers.
• Participates in QAPI processes through chart audits and data collection; supports CEO in community needs assessment and program development.
