Job summary

Avento Health in Romeoville, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Clinical Director and licensed therapist to provide clinical and administrative leadership within our on-site day services clinic. Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day clinical and administrative leadership for the day services clinic.
• Supervise, coach, and support therapists and other clinical staff.
• Coordinate clinical services and promote consistent, person‑centered care.
• Oversee staff workflow, assignments, scheduling, deadlines, and clinical responsibilities.
• Review clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Monitor completion of assessments, treatment plans, progress documentation, reports, and transition or discharge records.
• Provide clinical consultation regarding complex behavioral or mental health needs.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities to strengthen program effectiveness.
• Maintain organized administrative systems and follow up on outstanding clinical, staffing, or compliance needs.
• Participate in clinical, administrative, and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams, organizational leadership, individuals receiving services, and their support systems.
• Support staff development through supervision, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and development of clinical staff as needed.
• Help establish effective clinical procedures, workflows, and quality‑control processes.

Compensation: $90,000–$95,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Director and licensed therapist to provide clinical and administrative leadership within an on‑site day services clinic in Romeoville, Illinois.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for a therapist who is equally comfortable guiding clinical services and managing the operational side of a day services program. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, staff leadership experience, and the organizational skills needed to keep documentation, workflows, scheduling, compliance, and day‑to‑day clinical operations on track.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• LCSW or LCPC preferred; other appropriately licensed Illinois therapists may be considered based on experience.
• QIDP qualification or prior QIDP experience preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Director, Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, Clinic Manager, or similar clinical leader.
• Experience in a behavioral health clinic, day services program, community‑based program, or human‑services environment.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or complex support needs.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, quality assurance, clinical documentation review, and staff performance management.
