Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Hiring, Training, and Staff Management across the clinic.
  • Oversee hiring process for all therapists and provide training for new hires.
  • Ensure clinical and operational policies are taught and followed.
  • Assess development needs and conduct ongoing training.
  • Hold staff accountable for performance and manage coaching/PI/terminations.
  • Oversee peer consultation groups and provide clinical oversight to practitioners.
  • Participate in Clinic Director Peer Consult Group and provide 1:1 consultations.
  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses, implement treatment plans, and document sessions per policy.
  • Coordinate services with case managers, families, medical personnel, and schools.
  • Collaborate with owner/admin to improve fiscal and clinical efficiency.
  • Monitor clinic schedules and supplies; respond to concerns from clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead community outreach, marketing collaboration, and networking efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health and mental health services. The Clinic Director will be highly compensated (salary, commissions, and bonuses!) for accepting responsibility for the overall performance and operation of a clinic composed of approximately 10- 18 professional outpatient therapists. This includes hiring and recruiting fantastic, unique, and fun-loving clinicians; managing clinic performance and client satisfaction; providing training and ongoing developmental support; meeting fiscal goals; marketing clinical services and building community partnerships and referrals. You will also maintain a reasonable client caseload.


Responsibilities


  • Hiring, Training, and Staff Management

  • Oversee the hiring process for all therapists at their clinic.

  • Provide all training for clinic new hires,

  • Clinical and operational policies and procedures are taught and followed.

  • Assess ongoing development and training needs and conduct ongoing training as needed.

  • Hold staff compassionately accountable for meeting performance expectations.

  • Manage staff performance, including implementing Performance Coaching, Performance Improvement Plans, and termination process as needed.


Supervision and Consultation


  • Oversee peer consultation groups to ensure clinical excellence and align with best practices

  • Provide clinical oversight to the clinic’s Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals, including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers.

  • Participate in Clinic Director Peer Consult Group.

  • Provide 1:1 consultation with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation


Client Care


  • Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, and complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy

  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals

  • Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol

  • Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other staff, and school staff as needed


Clinic Oversight


  • Collaborate with the OWNER and admin staff (as needed) to implement strategies for fiscal and clinical efficiency.

  • Monitor and manage clinic office schedules and office supplies.

  • Provide timely responses to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders.

  • Serve as point of contact for building management-related issues or concerns.


Clinic Outreach, Marketing, and Networking


  • Spearhead clinic’s community outreach and engagement efforts, in collaboration with the owner and consistent with guidance from Outreach Team.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to promote the clinic’s online visibility.


Organizational Leadership


  • Collaborate with the OWNER and Admin Team to implement all required policies and procedures

  • Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness, and implement changes in collaboration with the owner


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.

  • Independently licensed with a FLORIDA STATE-issued clinical practice license (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD). Supervisor recognition is preferred.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and executive skill sets.

  • Strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record systems.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing processes, and HIPAA compliance requirements.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of patient care.

  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, patients’ families, and external partners.
