Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Clinical Director, Clinical Development to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This leader will shape the clinical development strategy for studies that advance innovative diagnostics and support strong patient outcomes. The role will guide scientific and operational execution across studies, ensuring clinical integrity, data quality, and patient safety. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams, senior clinical leadership, investigators, and external stakeholders to keep programs on track and aligned with business and regulatory goals.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $221,600 – $335,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical and scientific aspects of sponsor-led clinical studies
• Ensure clinical integrity, data quality, and patient safety across assigned studies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet study timelines and budgets
• Oversee Clinical Scientists on related studies
• Contribute to program-level strategy with senior clinical leadership
• Analyze study data to identify trends and mitigate risks
• Establish relationships with clinical investigators and stakeholders

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree required
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Oncology & Hematology strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience in vitro diagnostics, life sciences, or pharmaceutical clinical development, or 5+ years of post-graduate clinical trials or clinical research experience
• Typically requires 3+ years of medical monitoring experience
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization
