Job summary

East Portland Surgery Center is seeking a Clinical Director for Ambulatory Surgical Services to manage day-to-day clinical operations, improve patient experience, and drive performance across OR and Pre-OP/PACU.

The role collaborates with the ASC Administrator on policies, credentialing, risk management, and staff development. Monday-Friday schedule, with no call and no holiday work hours, supporting high-quality ambulatory care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Active RN license to work in Oregon.
• Operating Room experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in outpatient surgery.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of clinical areas including OR and Pre-OP/PACU.
• Collaborate with ASC Administrator to promote fiscal accountability and policy development.
• Oversee staff credentialing, safety measures, risk management, and patient care outcomes.

East Portland Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated Clinical Director-Ambulatory Surgical Services to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Director- Ambulatory Surgical Services is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinical areas (including OR and Pre-OP/PACU) and implements process initiatives to improve efficiency of services and patient experience. The Clinical Director of Ambulatory Surgery Center will report to the ASC Administrator and will collaborate with them to promote fiscal accountability, develop and revise policies, and evaluate staff performance. The Clinical Director-Ambulatory Surgical Services will oversee staff credentialing, preventative safety measures, risk management duties, and use their clinical and leadership experience to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.

Required Skills:

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN or higher degree preferred
• Must have an active RN license to work in Oregon
• Must have Operating Room experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in outpatient surgery.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• CPR and ACLS accredited by AHA required
