Job summary

East Portland Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, seeks a Clinical Director-Ambulatory Surgical Services to oversee day-to-day operations of OR and Pre-OP/PACU, implement process improvements, and ensure high-quality patient care.

You will collaborate with the ASC Administrator, manage credentialing, safety, and risk management while guiding staff performance and educational initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Oregon.
• BSN or higher degree preferred.
• Operating Room experience.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience in outpatient surgery.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• CPR and ACLS certified by AHA.

Responsibilities

East Portland Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated Clinical Director-Ambulatory Surgical Services to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Director- Ambulatory Surgical Services is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinical areas (including OR and Pre-OP/PACU) and implements process initiatives to improve efficiency of services and patient experience. The Clinical Director of Ambulatory Surgery Center will report to the ASC Administrator and will collaborate with them to promote fiscal accountability, develop and revise policies, and evaluate staff performance. The Clinical Director-Ambulatory Surgical Services will oversee staff credentialing, preventative safety measures, risk management duties, and use their clinical and leadership experience to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.

Required Skills:

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN or higher degree preferred
• Must have an active RN license to work in Oregon
• Must have Operating Room experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in outpatient surgery.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• CPR and ACLS accredited by AHA required
