Job summary
Mercyhealth is seeking a registered dietitian to assess patients' nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support health and recovery.
You will provide nutrition education, monitor progress, maintain clinical documentation, and contribute to program development while mentoring students and other professionals within Mercyhealth's network across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field with supervised practice completed.
- Master's degree or specialty certification preferred.
- Registered Dietitian with state licensure or certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional risk and develop care plans for patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to support recovery.
- Provide nutrition education to patients and community.
- Document in medical records and monitor progress.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and policy discussions.
- Precept dietetics students and mentor staff.
