Job summary

Notting Hill of West Bloomfield is seeking an experienced Dietitian/Dietitian Manager to oversee the operation of the Dietary Department, including staffing, food ordering, preparation, delivery, and cleanup in alignment with facility policies, physician orders, and resident care plans.

The role requires coordinating diet planning, menu formulation, and adherence to physician orders, federal and state regulations, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Dietitian in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS, care planning, and clinical documentation standards.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations governing dietary and nutritional services.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operation of the Dietary Department to include staffing, food ordering, and preparation, food delivery and clean-up.
• Provides dietary planning guidance and administrative direction over diet planning, menu formulation, preparation and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Ensures menus meet resident nutritional needs, following physician orders and regulatory guidelines.
• Interviews residents or family members to obtain diet history and maintains records of resident food likes and dislikes.
• Monitors weights and collaborates with nursing to make recommendations; ensures meals meet dietary needs and are served timely and in accordance with menus and diet orders.
