Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, UT, is seeking a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) for a PRN Clinical Dietitian position to join our dedicated nutrition care team.

You will evaluate patient nutrition needs, develop nutrition plans, and participate in rounds as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role requires an RD/RDN and state registration within 90 days, plus a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• RD/RDN: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist
• RD-State: State registration within 90 days of start date
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Food Handlers/Safety or Food Protection Manager certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient nutrition needs according to physician diagnosis and develop nutrition plans.
• Screen newly admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk.
• Develop orientation, continuing education, knowledge, and skills for patients of all ages.
• Serve on the Dietary Services team, participate in daily rounds, and provide nutritional education.
• Monitor for food and drug interactions and provide nutrition-drug information to physicians.
• Assess patients for malnutrition related to abuse or neglect.
• Communicate with patients, families, medical staff, nursing staff, and other health care professionals to ensure patient care needs are met.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Dietitian at our facility, you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, leading a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital. In this role:

• You willbe responsible forevaluating and assessing thepatientnutrition needs according to physician diagnosis, developing nutrition plans and goals and periodic assessment of the effects of nutrition therapy.


• You will function as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team to screen newly admitted patients toidentifythose at nutritional risk.


• You will develop orientation, continuing education, knowledge, andskills asappropriate forpatients of all ages.


• You will serve as an active member of the Dietary Services team,participatingin daily rounds and providing nutritional education for fellow staff.


• You willmonitor forfood and drug interactions and provide nutrition-drug interrelationship information to physicians.
