Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking an on-call Dietitian for a day schedule to collaborate with the health care team in delivering patient-centered nutrition care. Responsibilities include applying NCPT, assessing nutrition status, and implementing nutrition care plans for at-risk or malnourished patients.

The role requires a Dietetics degree with ACEND accreditation, and licensure in Oregon within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related area from a regionally accredited college. Master’s degree required only for those entering after 1/1/2024 as a Dietitian.
• ACEND-accredited program completion via DP/Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program.
• National CDR Registered Dietitian credential on hire.
• Oregon Dietitian license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departmental and interdisciplinary health care teams to provide integrated, patient-centered nutrition care.
• Apply the Nutrition Care Process and NCPT to assess nutrition status and diagnose nutrition-related issues.
• Order, design, implement, and monitor nutrition care plans; provide medical nutrition therapy to patients and families.
