Job summary

Decatur Morgan Hospital is seeking a licensed Dietitian to provide medical nutrition care across patient populations in a hospital setting. You will assess, diagnose, intervene and educate patients following evidence-based nutrition guidelines and develop care plans with ongoing follow-up.

Responsibilities include managing enteral nutrition care, documenting in the EHR, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from an accredited college or university.
• Alabama State Licensure; RD credential within 6 months of hire.
• At least two years of clinical nutrition experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition care to patients via assessment, diagnosis, intervention and education.
• Develop and follow up on care plans with reassessment of interventions.
• Manage total nutritional care of patients receiving Enteral Nutrition.
• Assess and diagnose patients for malnutrition.
• Use evidence-based guidelines in practice.
• Collaborate with care team and document in EHR.
