Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a Registered Dietitian to deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy for patients with specialized health conditions.

You will use the Nutrition Care Process with support from advanced dietitians and employ advanced counseling techniques to influence behavior change. You will utilize nutrition-focused assessments and technology to estimate needs, mentor interns and new grads, and apply current evidence to improve patient outcomes across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Graduates after Jan 1, 2024 must have a master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Completion of ACEND accredited DPD/DI/CP or graduate-level program.
• State licensure/certification as required by state of practice; if required, obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to apply Nutrition Care Process across populations and disease types.
• Ability to interpret and apply evidence-based research to clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy with moderate autonomy and guidance from advanced practice dietitians.
• Use Nutrition Care Process to guide care planning and documentation.
• Employ advanced counseling techniques to influence behavior change.
• Utilize nutrition technology and assessment tools.
• Mentor new graduates, interns, and dietetic staff.
• Apply research to improve patient outcomes within the care team.
