Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals with specialized conditions.

The role includes applying the Nutrition Care Process with support from senior dietitians and using advanced counseling techniques to influence behavior change. You will utilize nutrition technology to estimate needs, mentor new graduates and interns, and incorporate research to improve patient outcomes within the facility’s

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• For graduates after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a master’s degree by an accredited university.
• Education is verified.
• Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level program.
• State licensure or certification in accordance with the primary state of practice.
• If primary state requires licensure, obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to apply the Nutrition Care Process across populations.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply evidence-based research to clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to individuals with specialized health conditions.
• Use Nutrition Care Process with guidance from advanced practice dietitians.
• Apply advanced counseling techniques to influence behavior change.
• Use nutrition technology to estimate needs and goals (e.g., indirect calorimetry, software, glucometers).
• Mentor new graduates, dietetic interns, and clinical diet techs.
• Incorporate research to improve patient outcomes.
