Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to deliver patient-focused nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy aligned with the patient’s medical goals.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to implement standards of care and guidelines, while ensuring high patient satisfaction and efficient resource use. The role requires a dietetics degree, a supervised practice program, and Washington certification within six months, plus eventual national RD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related area from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Within 6 months of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification or Washington Nutritionist Certification.
• Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team to integrate nutrition with medical program goals.
• Manage resources cost-effectively and participate in performance improvement efforts.
• Maintain professional competency and skills for safe, effective practice.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or related area
