Responsibilities

• Conduct patient screening in accordance with specialized clinical guidelines for those at specific nutritional risk.
• Implement targeted and specific nutrition interventions based on medical conditions. Provide customized nutrition education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Develop intervention plans including appropriate feeding routes, modes, and nutrition prescriptions tailored to patient needs, in accordance with physicians' orders.
• Collaborate with the Food and Nutrition Services team to enhance patient experience.
• Provide expert care and nutrition therapy for high-acuity patients in Neonatal ICU, Pediatric units, oncology, renal, diabetes, and gerontology, with order writing privileges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited dietetics program (ACEND).
• At least 3 years of experience in an acute care hospital or similar setting working with complex patient populations.
• Registered Dietitian License upon hire.

Overview

As a Clinical Dietitian II, you will assess patients' nutritional status, counsel them and their families, and support, model, and train Clinical Dietitian I staff. The role is based in Bryan/College Station, TX, with a sign-on bonus of $10,000.
