Job summary

Mercer University’s Mercer Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Care in Macon, GA seeks a Dietitian to deliver nutrition assessment, counseling, and care planning for adults with IDD. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based nutrition care and education to patients and caregivers.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Dietetics, RD/RDN credentials, and Georgia licensure, with preferred experience and specialized certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nutritional dietetic experience.
• Current RDN/RD credential through CDR.
• Current Georgia LD license issued by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians.
• Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessment, and counseling.
• Ability to develop and implement nutrition care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition assessment, counseling, education, and care planning for adults with IDD.
• Identify nutrition-related concerns and develop individualized nutrition interventions.
• Offer patient and caregiver education and collaborate with the care team to deliver evidence-informed nutrition care.
