Job summary

MercyOne Clinton, part of Trinity Health, is recruiting a full-time (0.9 FTE) clinical dietitian to join our care team in Clinton, Iowa. The role focuses on dialysis and inpatient nutrition with opportunities to grow in oncology and cardiac nutrition.

As a member of the MercyOne Iowa Clinical network, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, deliver evidence-based nutrition care, and support a patient-centered care model in a 100% on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registry eligible.
• Licensed by the State of Iowa or licensure eligible.
• Must pass the CDR registration exam within 6 months of hire.
• One year of professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop nutrition care plans based on nutritional assessment and interdisciplinary input.
• Provide diet instructions, assessments, and orders for renal dialysis and inpatient care.
• Communicate with physicians and health care professionals on a wide range of medical conditions.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and procedures to ensure ethical, compliant care.
