Job summary

Intermountain Health in Billings, MT is seeking a Clinical Dietitian/RD or Clinical Diet Tech Advanced in an acute care setting. This full-time role offers mentorship, hands-on nutrition support experience, and a clear path to Clinical Dietitian Specialist, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance where applicable.

Open to experienced hospital dietitians or new grads, with a day shift and limited weekend work. Compensation is competitive and aligned with experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible. If hired in registration eligible status, pass the RD credentialing exam within 6 months.
• For registration eligible graduates after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a master’s degree by an accredited university. Education is verified.
• Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level competency-based dietitian nutritionist program.
• State licensure or certification per state requirements, obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) as a Clinical Dietitian (RD/RDN) to patients in acute care and specialized populations.
• Apply the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to assess, diagnose, and manage complex nutrition needs in a hospital setting.
• Provide advanced nutrition counseling to support behavior change and improve patient outcomes.
• Utilize clinical nutrition tools and technology to develop personalized care plans.
• Mentor dietetic interns, new graduate dietitians, and clinical nutrition staff.
• Implement evidence-based nutrition practices in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Manage nutrition care across the continuum, including discharge planning and DME ordering.
• Independently write and manage nutrition-related orders within scope of practice as an RDN.
