Qualifications

• Two years of therapeutic dietetic experience in geriatric care.

Job Details

• Job Title: Clinical Dietitian
• Department: Culinary
• Supervisor: Director of Culinary/Executive Director of SNF
• Job Objective: To ensure that the food and nutritional needs of residents are met in accordance with physician orders and, to the extent medically possible, meet the dietary allowances of the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council, adjusted for age, sex, and activity.
• FTE: Full-Time, 32 hours per week

Qualifications

1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or dietetics.
2. Current registered membership in the American Dietetic Association.
3. Two years of therapeutic dietetic experience in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
4. Knowledge of diet therapy, menu planning, food serving, and preparation techniques.
5. Effective communication skills with residents, families, and medical, nursing, and food service staff.
6. Ability to perform essential functions safely, with or without reasonable accommodations.
