Position Summary
The Clinical Dietitian manages all aspects of nutrition care including assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling for youth and adolescents at Bluestone Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital in Shaker Heights. This is an in-patient position, part-time, 10 hours per week, with flexible evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities Include

1. Providing medical nutrition therapy.
2. Counseling patients on healthy eating and lifestyles.
3. Planning and delivering group nutrition education.
4. Maintaining clinical records in compliance with regulations.
5. Ensuring patient confidentiality and handling documents per agency guidelines.
6. Developing and evaluating meal plans.
7. Assisting with menu development and food service procedures.
8. Staying updated with evidence-based nutrition practices.
9. Participating in staff meetings and training.
10. Maintaining necessary certifications and licensure.
11. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist.
3. Ability to relate sensitively to diverse groups and work independently.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in agency computer systems.
6. Creative problem-solving skills.

Experience

1. Experience in clinical nutrition; food service and behavioral health experience are a plus.
