- DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clinical Dietitian, you will coordinate, inspect, and evaluate the therapeutic diet program at Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home. Your duties will include planning, implementing, and evaluating nutritional interventions and completing initial, annual, and significant change nutritional assessments. In this position, you will write nutritional care plans and make dietetic recommendations. You will also plan and modify standard and therapeutic menus in conjunction with the Director of Dietetic Services or Food Service Supervisor. You can expect to monitor residents at nutritional risk monthly, including tube feedings, renal dialysis, brittle diabetics, dysphasia, significant weight change, and any other nutritional concerns then communicate with nursing. Additionally, you will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to report findings and make recommendations on improving residents' nutritional status.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are as follows with rotating on and off duty days including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute lunch.
- 6:00 AM to 2:0 PM
- 7:30 PM to 3:30 PM
- 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- You must have certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
