The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Salaries are determined based on various factors including market data, education, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities

1. Provides timely, evidence-based nutritional care and education to patients and families.
2. Participates in training of medical staff, dietetic interns, and peers.
3. Acts as a consultant/resource to the healthcare team and liaises with foodservice staff.
4. Develops and implements individualized nutrition care plans across the lifecycle.
5. Communicates nutrition plans effectively and utilizes HIPAA-secure communication modalities.
6. Provides education on medical nutrition therapy and food-drug interactions.
7. Participates in quality assurance activities and departmental committees.
8. Represents the department at community nutrition events.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree with certification by the Commission on Dietetics Registration (for degrees before 1/1/2024) and completion of a dietetic internship, or
• Master's degree with CEND certification (for degrees on/after 1/1/2024) and completion of a dietetic internship, or
• Equivalent education and experience.
• Clinical nutrition experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy, multidisciplinary setting.
• Effective workload prioritization and multitasking skills.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registry-eligible by the Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) within 6 months of hire.
