Role

The Clinical Dietitian III provides Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients with complex medical conditions in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. The primary responsibilities include:

• Coordinate clinical responsibilities, distribute workload among team members, and oversee training and development of staff. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare personnel, document using the Nutrition Care Process, and serve as a resource for Level I and II dietitians.
• Conduct quality and performance improvement activities, participate in performance evaluations, and mentor interns and junior dietitians.
• Serve on departmental and hospital committees, coordinate cultural and medical dietary requirements, ensure food safety, and develop patient education materials.
• Provide care independently, manage complex patients, develop and evaluate nutrition care plans, and provide nutrition counseling.
• Ensure continuity of care, develop protocols, participate in research, and contribute to quality improvement activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics.
• Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Possess a specialty certification or a Master's degree in a related field.
• At least three years of clinical dietetics experience.
• Licensed as a dietitian in Georgia.
• Competent in adult and geriatric nutrition and basic computer skills.
