Shriners Children’s is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition services in the pediatric population within the Nutritional Services Department. The role requires performing nutritional assessments, developing care plans, and counseling patients and families on diets and nutrition.

Preferred candidates include bilingual English/Spanish speakers with at least 2 years of clinical experience and pediatric exposure. This is a full-time on-site role at our Sacramento facilities.

Qualifications

• Dietician license in state of practice.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• 2 years clinical experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments of assigned pediatric patients.
• Develops a nutritional care plan based on findings and monitors/reassesses hospital patients.
• Supervises the work of the Dietary Clerks and Volunteers.
• Assists with cycle menu planning to promote healthy choices per U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
• Maintains inventory of clinical supplies and consults with the Manager.

Job Description

Seeking a highly motivated Clinical Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping the pediatric population to work in our Nutritional Services Department. The Clinical Dietician is responsible for providing clinical nutrition services and care to pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity, and counsels/educates patients and their families on specific diets and normal nutrition.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments of assigned pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels.
• Develops a nutritional care plan based on the findings of the Nutritional Screen and/or Assessment. Monitors/reassesses hospital patients
• Supervises the work of the Dietary Clerks, and Volunteers.
• Assists with planning the patients’ cycle menu to promote healthy choices as defined by the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
• Maintains inventory of clinical supplies required to provide services. Consults with the Manager as specified.

The pay range for this position is $48.28 - $68.16/hour.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
