Job summary

Shriners Children’s in the San Francisco area is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join the Nutritional Services Department. You will perform comprehensive nutritional assessments for pediatric patients, develop care plans, and monitor patients throughout their hospital stay.

The role also involves supervising dietary clerks and volunteers, contributing to cycle menu planning per USDA guidelines, and collaborating with the manager to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Dietitian license in state of practice is required.
• Preferable bilingual English/Spanish.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments of assigned pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels.
• Develops a nutritional care plan based on the findings of the Nutritional Screen and/or Assessment.
• Monitors/reassesses hospital patients.

• Assists with planning the patients’ cycle menu to promote healthy choices as defined by the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
• Maintains inventory of clinical supplies required to provide services.

Job Description

Seeking a highly motivated Clinical Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping the pediatric population to work in our Nutritional Services Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments of assigned pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels.
• Develops a nutritional care plan based on the findings of the Nutritional Screen and/or Assessment.
• Monitors/reassesses hospital patients.

The pay range for this position is $48.28 - $68.16/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
