Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Nurse Educator to coordinate education and training programs, serving as a clinical role model and leading staff development initiatives across units.

The role focuses on quality improvement, accreditation standards, and ensuring high standards of patient care through ongoing staff education and competency maintenance. BLS is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing or related field.
  • Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • Color vision acuity as required by role.
  • Preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit-specific certifications.

  • Serve as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice.
  • Administer staff development programs through needs assessment and implement education initiatives for clinical staff.

  • Maintain unit-specific quality, accreditation, and clinical competency programs and provide staff instruction on data collection and clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the development and implementation of education and training programs to enhance, promote, and maintain high standards of staff professional growth in providing quality patient care. Serves as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice. Administers staff development programs through needs assessment and implements education and training programs for clinical staff. Functions in a leadership role as a clinical expert. Develops and implements training and maintains established standards of care through quality improvement activities. Maintains unit-specific quality, accreditation, and clinical competency programs. Responsibilities involve providing staff instruction on the collection of data, assisting with the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, and serving as a resource to departmental and other hospital staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing or related field
  • Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  • Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

  • Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
Work Hours:

8am-4pm
