Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Educator to lead education and training initiatives across clinical staff. The role requires clinical expertise, program development, and a strong commitment to high-quality patient care.

The educator will develop and maintain competency programs, serve as a clinical resource, and drive quality improvement activities within the hospital setting in Atlanta. A Georgia RN license and BLS are required, with ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must have nursing degree and GA RN license.
  • BLS certification required for all clinical staff.
  • Two years of RN experience.
  • ACLS/PALS/NRP or other clinical certifications preferred.
  • Color acuity appropriate to unit role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development and implementation of education and training programs for clinical staff.
  • Serve as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and practice.
  • Administer staff development programs via needs assessment and program implementation.
  • Develop and maintain unit quality, accreditation, and clinical competency programs.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the development and implementation of education and training programs to enhance, promote, and maintain high standards of staff professional growth in providing quality patient care. Serves as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice. Administers staff development programs through needs assessment and implements education and training programs for clinical staff. Functions in a leadership role as a clinical expert. Develops and implements training and maintains established standards of care through quality improvement activities. Maintains unit-specific quality, accreditation, and clinical competency programs. Responsibilities involve providing staff instruction on the collection of data, assisting with the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, and serving as a resource to departmental and other hospital staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing or related field
  • Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  • Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

  • Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
