Job summary

Elanco, a global leader in animal health, is seeking a Clinical Development Scientist for Companion Animal Health at its global headquarters in Indianapolis. You will design and execute studies for vaccines and therapeutics from design through regulatory submission, driving program strategy and collaborating across R&D, Regulatory Affairs, QA, and Marketing.

Ideal candidates hold a DVM or Ph.D. (or MS with 5+ years in veterinary product development) and will contribute to global regulatory

Qualifications

• Education: DVM or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline; OR an M.S. in a relevant discipline.
• MS degree candidates must have a minimum of 5 years direct experience in veterinary product development and clinical study execution.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and translate scientific objectives into executable study designs and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of high-quality clinical studies (pilot and pivotal) for companion animal vaccines and therapeutics.
• Author study protocols and final reports; select and manage CROs; oversee study execution to meet objectives.
• Develop strategic clinical development plans and collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, QA, and Marketing.
