Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Development Associate Medical Director to serve as Medical Lead for clinical trials, overseeing safety and scientific integrity. You will monitor trials, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to regulatory submissions and publications.

The role supports a hybrid work model with on-site and remote flexibility. Ideal candidates have MD/DO training, 8+ years in clinical research, and experience interacting with regulatory

Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience in global clinical research and regulatory interactions a plus.
Familiarity with biostatistics, pharmacology, PK/PD and ICH-GCP standards.
Board certification/eligibility in a relevant medical specialty is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Lead medical monitoring and trial oversight across studies.
Participate in protocol development, regulatory documents, and data analysis plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific integrity and compliance.
Represent Vertex with external medical personnel and regulatory bodies.
