Job summary

Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent ex-US medical degree is required.
• Board certification/eligibility in a medical, pediatric or surgical specialty is highly desirable.
• Typically requires 10 years of basic or clinical research experience in academic or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development of Study Protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Development Plans and other key study documents with minimal guidance.
• Serves on cross-functional Study Execution Teams (SET) for assigned trials to achieve efficient, high-quality study execution.
• Participates in regulatory documents for regulatory submissions (INDs, CTAs, safety reports, annual reports).
• Provides scientific input to study documents and analysis plans, and acts as liaison between Translational Medicine/Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs/Clinical Operations.
• Represents Vertex to outside medical personnel in protocol development and study conduct.
• Performs other duties related to clinical programs.
