Vertex is seeking a Clinical Development Medical Director to serve as Medical Lead for multiple trials across all phases, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to shape strategy, design, and execution. This role drives scientific input, safety monitoring, and regulatory alignment within Vertex clinical programs.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO, 10+ years in research, board eligibility, and strong knowledge of trial design, GCP, and biostatistics.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required.
• Board certification/eligibility highly desired.
• Typically requires 10 years of basic or clinical research experience.
• Working knowledge of biostatistics, GCP, and clinical study design.

Responsabilités

• Lead development of study protocols, Investigator Brochures, and clinical development plans with cross‑functional teams.
• Serve on cross‑functional Study Execution Teams (SET) for assigned trials.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and safety reports for regulatory authorities and ethics committees.
• Provide scientific input to ICFs, CRFs, SAPs, CPAPs, and CSR; liaise with Translational Medicine/Clinical Development.
• Represent Vertex to external medical personnel in protocol development and study conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned related to clinical programs.
