Job summary

Neuromonitoring Associates Llc is seeking a Clinical Development Lead to oversee regional training programs in intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) and to mentor technologists across markets.

The role supports clinical cases, promotes best practices in IONM, and ensures consistent, high-quality service delivery. A CNIM credential and 5 years of IONM experience, including leadership, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field.
• CNIM or equivalent intraoperative neuromonitoring credential.
• 5 years clinical experience in IONM or neuroscience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional clinical oversight for training programs and mentorship across markets.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement national training and support initiatives.
• Mentor technologists, participate in trainee onboarding and interviews, and monitor KPI-driven clinical excellence.
• Provide direct clinical coverage as needed and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Assist in onboarding processes and promote best practices in intraoperative monitoring.

Position Title: Clinical Development LeadDepartment: Clinical DevelopmentReport To: Director of Clinical AdvancementFLSA: ExemptPosition SummaryThe Clinical Lead plays a pivotal role in the Clinical Development team by overseeing regional training programs (basic, CNIM, and advanced), mentoring technologists, and guiding mentors. This role supports clinical cases, promotes best practices in intraoperative monitoring (IOM), and ensures consistent, high-quality service delivery across all markets.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRegional Clinical OversightAssess and identify regional clinical needs.Collaborate with the Director of Advancement to implement national training and support initiatives.Partner with Clinical Managers and Team Leads to proactively support employee development.Review and act on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure clinical excellence.Training Program SupportOperationalize regional education and quality initiatives in partnership with the Clinical Development team.Identify and train mentors, preceptors, and clinical support personnel.Implement defined clinical standards and clinical protocols to drive consistent service delivery across the organization.Support CNIM preparation through tracking, accountability, remediation, and instruction.Provide advanced training procedures in the operating room.Mentorship & Clinical SupportProvide direct clinical support and case coverage as needed.Mentor trainee technologists and oversee clinical consistency across teams.Participate in trainee interviews and contribute to onboarding processes.Case CoverageServe as primary clinical coverage when required, within base region, and other regions, as needed, ensuring high-quality service delivery.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation Licenses/CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline required.Certification in intraoperative neuromonitoring (CNIM) or related neurophysiology credentials.Experience5 years of clinical experience in (IONM) or clinical neuroscience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity preferred.Skills & CompetenciesDemonstrated clinical excellence and a strong understanding of intraoperative monitoring best practices.Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to present findings and coach effectively.Proficiency in MS Office suite and comfort navigating digital documentation tools.Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across clinical and operational teams.Working ConditionsPossible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, mitigated by established health precautions and protective clothing.Frequent travel by motor vehicle and/or air to healthcare facilities in urban and rural areas.Variable work schedules, including weekends, and availability during non-scheduled hours.Physical DemandsAbility to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds.Ability to stand, turn, and stoop among several types of equipment in an operating room for a minimum of two (2) hours to a maximum of twelve (12) hours.Ability to apply different types of electrodes to a patient’s anatomy with precision and speed in preparation of monitoring a surgical procedure.Ability to drive/commute.Disclaimer: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
