Job summary

AbbVie seeks a physician-lead to oversee the direction, planning, and interpretation of clinical trials across one or more development programs. You will participate in cross-functional teams to generate high-quality clinical data supporting product strategy.

The role involves overseeing study design, safety and efficacy data, regulatory submissions, and collaboration with Medical Affairs, Commercial, and other functions to align clinical development plans with business goals.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor degree or equivalent with relevant therapeutic specialty.
• At least 2 years of clinical trial experience in pharma, academia, or equivalent.
• Ability to lead and run a clinical research program with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills in English, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Oversees direction, planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials within development programs.
• Provides in-house clinical expertise and coordinates translational strategies with stakeholders.
• Monitors study integrity, safety, efficacy data, and regulatory submissions across programs.
• May supervise Medical/Scientific Directors and contribute to Clinical Strategy Teams.
