Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Clinical Development Director, Obesity/Cardiovascular in the United States to lead late-phase programs within the AMG 133 obesity-metabolic portfolio. You will report to the Global Development Lead for cardiovascular indications and provide essential clinical and scientific insights across study concepts and protocol development.

You will collaborate across biostatistics, regulatory, safety, and medical affairs to ensure high-quality clinical data generation, safety

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• 3 years of clinical research experience.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA/EMEA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and leadership in a complex matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and scientific input into development plans, study concepts, and protocols.
• Serve as medical monitor for ongoing clinical trials and safety reviews.
• Analyze clinical data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Author clinical study reports, publications, and regulatory submissions.
• Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and present at scientific meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical strategy into study execution.
