Job summary

Merck is offering the Future Talent Program for interns to work up to 12 weeks in our Research Labs Division. You will contribute to data management projects and gain exposure to the processes used to drive clinical data standards adoption across teams.

As an intern, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, learn CDISC SDTM/ADaM concepts, and apply data curation and analysis skills to uncover insights while supporting mapping to SDTM reporting for regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Understanding of information management practices.
• Knowledge of CDISC SDTM, ADaM, and HL7 standards.
• Ability to manipulate and combine data from disparate sources.
• Programming skills in Python, SAS and VBA.

Responsibilities

• Apply data curation and analysis to uncover business insights.
• Establish FAIR principles to data standard definitions and promote re-use.
• Identify areas for process improvement, implement a solution, and measure effectiveness.
• Support mapping from data collection to SDTM reporting for FDA submission.
• Learn and evaluate CDISC terms and submit for CDISC approval.
