Job summary

Merck invites interns to join the Global Data Management and Standards (GDMS) team as part of the Future Talent Program. The internship, up to 12 weeks, is on a fixed-term basis with onsite or hybrid options in our Research Labs Division and offers hands-on projects and professional development opportunities.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
• Understanding of database management systems software (Oracle preferred).
• Experience in database development and working with PL/SQL, SAS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, and MS Project.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, VB, or C#.
• Experience in troubleshooting technical issues.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain several databases and support database functions.
• Work closely with team members to design, code, and update databases.
• Assist in updating existing databases and troubleshooting issues.
