Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated data/AI specialist in New York to support institutional cancer research. You will partner with clinicians, researchers, and data scientists to build scalable data pipelines and deploy ML/NLP solutions for clinical data curation.

The role requires Python and/or R, SQL, Git/GitHub, and cloud experience, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure for translational research. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years in a related field, or a related Master's degree.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R programming.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience applying machine learning and/or NLP methodologies.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clinicians, researchers, engineers, and data scientists to support cancer research initiatives.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and integrate healthcare datasets.
• Build and deploy ML, NLP, and AI-based solutions for data extraction and curation.
• Leverage LLMs and emerging AI to improve data abstraction and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research questions into scalable computational solutions.
• Support enterprise curation that makes high-quality clinical data available to investigators.
• Contribute to cloud-based infrastructure and analytics tools supporting translational research.
