Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline (computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or related).
• Experience with NLP and analyzing clinical data.

• Familiarity with advanced machine learning and deep learning on large datasets.
• Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of representation models, multi-modal models, and self-supervised learning.
• Open to candidates with foundational ML/data analysis skills even if not all advanced criteria are met.
• Strong quantitative aptitude and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical data using machine learning techniques to support research outcomes.
• Develop and maintain models using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow for large-scale datasets.
• Apply NLP methods to interpret and analyze medical texts and patient data.
• Collaborate with research teams to design and implement models addressing research questions.
• Continuously update models based on new findings and data.
• Assist in preparing research papers and presentations with data-driven insights.
• Participate in research meetings and discuss methodology and results interpretation.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy when handling sensitive medical data.
• Contribute hypotheses and analysis to reports, abstracts, and manuscripts under faculty supervision.
• Support grant proposals and funder reports for NIH-funded work.
• Liaise with senior researchers at other institutions for analyses for national committees.
• Prepare interim reports for principal investigators and study boards.
• Under faculty supervision, design analytical strategies for proposals and draft statistical analysis plans.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
