Job summary

The University at Buffalo is seeking a Clinical Data Manager (CDM), a quantitative scientist supporting interdisciplinary collaborations across the university and with external partners. You will interface with statisticians and investigators to maintain data standards and reliable data workflows.

You will participate in study planning, assist with EDC/eCRF design, perform QA/QC, lead data management projects, and train assistants on procedures and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in study planning and data management design
• Assist with study implementation as well as design of the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs), and database schema
• Perform quality assurance and quality control tasks in accordance with Good Clinical Data Management Practices, Data Management Plans, and Statistical Analysis Plans
• Assist with data reporting and optimization of data collection processes and methods
• Lead assigned data management and statistical projects by applying project management skills, knowledge of data management and clinical trial workflows, and management techniques
• Train and supervise Data Manager Assistants on study procedures, study specific handling, and management of trial data
• Assist with the design and implementation of data management processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Job description

The Clinical Data Manager (CDM) is a quantitative scientist whose focus will be providing support for interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside the University as it pertains to clinical data management. In this role, you will interface with statisticians, other scientific investigators, and external partners. You will also be involved in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the end users and maintaining data standards.

In This Position, You Will

• Participate in study planning and data management design


• Assist with study implementation as well as design of the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs), and database schema


• Perform quality assurance and quality control tasks in accordance with Good Clinical Data Management Practices, Data Management Plans, and Statistical Analysis Plans
