Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Department Data Analyst to support data acquisition, management and reporting for administration and clinicians. The role involves organizing ophthalmic imaging and clinical research data, developing data-processing workflows, and supporting AI research in collaboration with the CRU and imaging team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in science/information management or related field and at least 3 years of data management/analyst

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science/information management/healthcare information/statistics/business or closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years data management/analyst experience.
• Experience in clinical or healthcare settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts data, reconciles data inconsistencies and performs analysis.
• Creates data reports from existing databases based on needs analysis leadership and/or clinicians/researchers.
• Prepares and submits documents to federal/state agencies and other organizations as required by law.
• Monitors data gained from department information services and creates useful downloads.
• Designs and creates merges data files and/or warehouse data sets for reporting.
• Partners with senior leadership and clinicians/researchers to design analyses and reports.
• May provide education/training on data interpretation and analytics.
• Develops and maintains protocol for maintain department wide volunteer faculty credentialing.
• Designs tools to capture data, run reports and identify trends to improve efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
